NEW YORK (Reuters) - Gazprom GAZP.MM will gain a 10 percent share of the U.S. natural gas market in ten years, totaling 6 billion cubic feet of gas per day, John Hattenberger, president of Gazprom Marketing & Trading USA, told Reuters Television on Tuesday.
He said that more deals to increase existing supply in the U.S. market will be signed in the coming months, including one expected this week.
However, liquefied natural gas will not make up any of the mix in the next few months as U.S. gas prices are currently too low for Gazprom to send any cargoes there from Russia, he said.
