LONDON (Reuters) - Reuters Africa Web site -- africa.reuters.com -- has won the best site award at the Diageo Africa Business Reporting awards.
Reuters Africa, which showcases Reuters extensive coverage of the continent and offers breaking news, in-depth features and financial information from across the region, launched in February 2007.
The site targets the African business community and anyone who follows African development, investment and news.

Reuters Africa features an interactive map offering access to local Reuters news across the continent, organised by country.
As part of Reuters continuing efforts to incorporate a wider set of voices and commentary into its news content, the site includes a continent-wide network of bloggers.
In June, Reuters announced a major 3-year advertising deal with pan-African bank Ecobank Transnational Incorporated ETI.L, the most significant deal since Reuters Africa partnered with HSBC on its launch.
