MOSCOW, Aug 30 (Reuters) - Lukoil, Russia’s second biggest oil producer, said on Wednesday it supported the central bank’s decision to bail out Otkritie Bank, one of the country’s largest lenders.
In a statement, Lukoil Chief Executive Vagit Alekperov said he saw no risks for the oil major connected to the bail out. Lukoil is one of Otkritie’s biggest clients.
Some of Lukoil’s executives are also shareholders in Otkritie group, the controlling shareholder of Otkritie Bank. (Reporting by Oksana Kobzeva; writing by Katya Golubkova; editing by Jack Stubbs)
