MOSCOW, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Shares in Otkritie, one of Russia’s largest banks, rose on Tuesday after the central bank said it would bail out the lender.
Otkritie shares traded at 1,339 roubles, up 2.3 percent on the day as of 1405 GMT, compared with 1,327 roubles seen before the central bank’s announcement.
The Russian rouble firmed slightly after the central bank’s statement to 58.74 against the dollar from 58.79. Shortly afterwards, as of 1405 GMT, the rouble pared gains to 58.8 against the dollar. (Reporting by Andrey Ostroukh; Editing by Dmitry Solovyov)
