Russia deputy FinMin: Russia's banking system is "absolutely stable"

MOSCOW, Aug 28 (Reuters) - Russia’s banking system is “absolutely stable”, Russian Deputy Finance Minister Alexey Moiseev said on Monday, adding that he sees no immediate risks to the system.

“Of course, I believe the banking system is absolutely stable,” Moiseev said in an interview with state Rossiya 24 channel.

“I believe so, because the entire combination of a number of steps and institutions implemented lately provide the regulator, which is the central bank, with a wide range of opportunities (to keep the system stable).”
