Cleaning Polish pipeline system to take 5-6 months -minister

WARSAW, June 19 (Reuters) - Cleaning the Polish pipeline and storage system from tainted Russian oil will take five to six months, Poland’s minister responsible for energy infrastructure said on Wednesday.

Piotr Naimski also said the Russian tainted oil problem was solved on technical level but issues of responsibility and compensations remain to be solved.

Russia halted oil flows along the Druzhba pipeline to Eastern Europe and Germany in April because of contaminated crude, leaving refiners in Europe scrambling to find supplies. (Reporting by Agnieszka Barteczko, writing by Alan Charlish Editing by Tomasz Janowski)
