Ally of jailed Kremlin critic Navalny says more protests planned next weekend

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Leonid Volkov, an ally of jailed Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, said on Saturday that the opposition would hold more protests next weekend to demand Navalny’s release.

Nearly 2,000 people were detained on Saturday at rallies across Russia staged in support of the opposition leader.
