Magnitude 6.1 quake hits Russia's Kamchatka - USGS

Nov 15 (Reuters) - A magnitude 6.1 quake struck Russia’s far eastern Kamchatka peninsula on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake’s epicenter was located close to the eastern coast of Kamchatka, a fairly sparsely populated region that gets high seismic activity. (Reporting by Sandra Maler in Washington; Editing by Peter Cooney)
