CORRECTED - E.ON opens Algeria office, plans one in Libya

FRANKFURT, June 3 (Reuters) - Germany’s E.ON EONG.DE, Europe’s largest utility, said it has opened an office in Algeria and plans to open one in Libya to get access to more liquefied natural gas from the region.

“The company is banking on a cooperation with Algerian state company Sonatrach,” E.ON said in a statement on Tuesday. “The opening of an office in Libya is planned in the medium term.” (Reporting by Peter Dinkloh)
