Satyam auditor says examining chairman's statement

NEW DELHI, Jan 7 (Reuters) - Satyam’s auditor PricewaterhouseCoopers said on Wednesday it was examining the contents of the statement issued by the software firm’s chairman and would not comment further due to client confidentiality.

Ramalinga Raju, chairman of Satyam, quit on Wednesday, saying the company’s profits had been falsely inflated over the last several years. See [ID:nSP387669] (Reporting by Devidutta Tripathy; Editing by John Mair)
