TORONTO, June 22 (Reuters) - Sears Canada SCC.TO, one of the country’s largest department store chains, recalled some of its girls sleepwear sets on Tuesday due to a potential safety hazard.
The retailer asked customers to return P JAMMERS, sold in stores between April 1 and June 18, for a full refund, stating the sleepwear did not meet the company’s test standards for flammability.
Sears Canada, which is majority owned by Sears Holding Corp (SHLD.O), said there have been no reports of injuries or incidents so far.
Shares of the retailer closed up 2.62 percent to C$26.60 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
