TOKYO, Sept 17 (Reuters) - Japan’s SBI Holdings plans to file an injunction against rival Shinsei Bank to block it from adopting a poison-pill defence against its $1.1-billion bid, the Nikkei financial daily said on Friday.
SBI also plans to reject any request by Shinsei to delay the deadline for its tender offer bid, the Nikkei reported. Shinsei’s board decided to use a poison-pill defence against SBI, sources familiar with the matter said earlier. (Reporting by Tokyo Newsroom; Editing by Christian Schmollinger)
