Feb 14 (Reuters) - Skilled Healthcare Group Inc posted quarterly results that beat analysts’ estimates, helped by higher revenue from its long-term care services segment, and backed its full-year 2011 outlook.
For the fourth quarter, the nursing home operator posted a net income of $10.8 million, or 29 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $161.3 million, or $4.37 cents per share, a year ago.
The company earned 31 cents a share on an adjusted basis, on revenue of $220.7 million.
Analysts on an average were expecting adjusted earnings of 28 cents a share on revenue of $218.12 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Revenue from long-term care services segment rose 9 percent to $182.6 million.
The Foothill Ranch, California-based company’s shares, which have risen more than three-fold since it announced third-quarter results in November, closed at $13.54 on Monday on the New York Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Shravya Jain in Bangalore; Editing by Roshni Menon)
