Army reservist sues mortgage servicer over foreclosure threats

A California Army reservist who served three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan has sued mortgage servicer SN Servicing Corp, accusing it of threatening him with foreclosure and refusing to defer mortgage payments while he was on active duty.

Filed by Purple Heart recipient Wade Scott and his wife April Scott of Corona, California, the lawsuit seeks damages from Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based SN Servicing Corp, alleging violations of the 2005 California Military Families Financial Relief Act (CMFFRA).
