UPDATE 1-Solta Medical gets FDA nod for new anti-aging treatment

* Says will launch treatment on May 25 in Seoul

* Says treatment based on non-invasive laser technology (Follows alerts)

May 6 (Reuters) - Aesthetic laser device maker Solta Medical Inc said it received the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval for its new anti-aging treatment, Clear + Brilliant.

The company said it will officially launch Clear + Brilliant, which is based on non-invasive laser technology, at the World Congress of Dermatology in Seoul, Korea on May 25.

Hayward, California-based Solta Medical began shipping the product to customers in certain international markets in April and plans to begin shipments domestically later this month.

Shares of the company closed at $3.25 on Thursday on Nasdaq. (Reporting by Kavyanjali Kaushik in Bangalore; Editing by Maju Samuel)
