LONDON (Reuters) - French midfielder Charles N’Zogbia joined Wigan Athletic on Monday while defender Ryan Taylor moved in the opposite direction to sign for Newcastle United.
Last week N’Zogbia said he would never play for Newcastle again under Joe Kinnear after his name was mispronounced by the team manager in a television interview.
N’Zogbia joined Wigan for an undisclosed fee and agreed a three and a half year contract, the club said on their website (www.wiganlatics.co.uk).
Newcastle said on their website (www.nufc.co.uk) Taylor had signed a four and a half year deal.
