Two Spanish citizens killed in Sri Lanka attacks -EFE

MADRID, April 22 (Reuters) - Two Spanish citizens were killed in Sunday’s bomb attacks in Sri Lanka, the mayor of Pontecesures, a small town in Galicia, northern Spain, told the country’s public news agency EFE.

The dead were a couple aged 31 and 32, on holiday in Sri Lanka.

Spain’s foreign ministry has not yet confirmed any Spanish victims in the blasts.

The devastating bomb attacks on hotels and churches, blamed by authorities on militants with foreign links, killed 290 people and wounded nearly 500. (Reporting by Joan Faus; editing by David Evans)
