NEW YORK, Aug 11 (Reuters) - Anadarko Petroleum (APC.N) said on Wednesday it removed non-essential personnel from its key natural gas facility, Independence Hub, as well as Neptune facilities in the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday evening.

“We are continuing to monitor the path of the weather and remain prepared to immediately remove all personnel from these facilities and shut in production, if necessary, to protect our personnel and the environment,” the company said in a press release.
