Supplier applies for Saab unit bankruptcy -court

STOCKHOLM, July 22 (Reuters) - A supplier to cash-strapped Swedish carmaker Saab, owned by Netherlands-based Swedish Automobile SWAN.AS, has applied for Saab’s Tools subsidiary to be declared bankrupt, a court official said on Friday.

The official said the Vanersborg District Court had received on Friday an application from SwePart Verktyg AB for Saab Automobile Tools AB to be declared bankrupt.

Saab Automobile Tools AB is fully owned by Saab Automobile.

The official said it was the first application it had received for a Saab company to be declared bankrupt.
