NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - MLB Network has added four faces to the lineup that will join anchor Matt Vasgersian when the channel steps up to bat January 1.
Former New York Mets pitcher and Fox Sports analyst Al Leiter and former Seattle Mariners All-Star and ESPN “Baseball Tonight” analyst Harold Reynolds will join Vasgersian as studio analysts. Vasgersian will anchor two programs, both produced at the former MSNBC headquarters in Secaucus, N.J.
“MLB Tonight” will go on the air at 6 p.m. ET Monday through Saturday, with the daily news program and live looks at games in progress continuing until the last out of the night’s last game. During the off-season is “Hot Stove,” a 7 p.m. news program every Monday-Friday.
Also joining the MLB Network staff are Trenni Kusnierek and Hazel Mae. Kusnierek was a sports anchor/reporter at FSN Pittsburgh for four years before becoming a member of the Milwaukee Brewers broadcast team on FSN Wisconsin in 2008. Mae was an anchor for New England Sports Network for four years and hosted “The Ultimate Red Sox Show.”
