TLC Vision says emerges from bankruptcy

NEW YORK, May 20 (Reuters) - TLC Vision Corp TLCVQ.PK, an eye care services company, said on Thursday that it had emerged from bankruptcy court as a private company owned by Charlesbank Capital Partners LLC and H.I.G. Capital.

The company, a sponsor of golfer Tiger Woods, said the plan was confirmed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware on May 6 and was then recognized by a Canadian court order.

St. Louis-based TLC Vision, which operates TLC Laser Eye Centers, said that it had named new members to its board of directors who are employees of Charlesbank and H.I.G.

The company filed for bankruptcy in December saying it had reached an agreement with its secured lenders.
