New Jersey woman's lawsuit says TransUnion wrongly reported her as dead

A New Jersey woman has filed suit against Chicago-based credit bureau TransUnion alleging that it falsely reported that she was dead, causing her to be turned down for credit.

Filed on Tuesday in Camden, New Jersey federal court, the lawsuit said TransUnion has been reporting Ronnie Brunker as deceased on her credit report since at least February 2018 and did no fact-checking at all to be sure the information was accurate.
