Turkish banks' Jan-Sept net profit up 28.6 pct at 37.2 bln lira - regulator

ISTANBUL, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Turkish banks’ net profit in the first nine months of the year rose 28.6 percent from the same period in 2016, data from the BDDK banking regulator showed on Monday.

Turkey’s lenders, which include Isbank, Garanti and Akbank, posted combined net profit of 37.2 billion lira ($9.86 billion), the data showed, compared with 28.9 billion lira a year earlier. ($1 = 3.7724 liras) (Reporting by Can Sezer; Writing by Ezgi Erkoyun; Editing by Daren Butler)
