Turkish banks sign agreement to help businesses in loan restructuring

ISTANBUL, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Turkish banks and financial institutions signed a loan restructuring framework agreement on Wednesday aiming to help businesses which have difficulty in paying off debt, Turkey’s Banking Association said.

In a statement, the banking association said the agreement regulates the principles for loan restructurings, taking into account recent market developments and their effects on the Turkish economy. (Writing by Ezgi Erkoyun; Editing by Daren Butler)
