UBS says searches at German unit over, no documents seized

ZURICH, Sept 27 (Reuters) - Swiss bank UBS said on Wednesday searches at its German unit were over and that no documents were seized after prosecutors launched an investigation against UBS clients in Germany on grounds of suspected tax evasion.

“Currently there are no investigative proceedings against employees of UBS Europe SE,” UBS said in an updated statement, referring to its bank in Frankfurt. (Reporting by Joshua Franklin; Editing by Michael Shields)
