CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 18 (Reuters) - UBS AG UBSN.VX (UBS.N) has hired Jeff Evans from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods Inc KBW.N to head a group that underwrites stock offerings for financial companies in the Americas, the Swiss bank said on Monday.
UBS hired Evans to run its equity capital markets’ financial institutions group and as a managing director. Evans previously was global head of equity capital markets at KBW, the financial industry-focused investment bank and brokerage.
Separately, UBS named a series of regional heads of its global equities structuring business, reporting to Marcus Overhaus.
Chris Leone — currently co-head of equity derivatives trading and regional head of risk management — will also become the Americas head for global equities structuring. Leone will be based in Stamford, Connecticut.
Eric Bensoussan, who previously worked at Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE), will be head of the the division’s Europe, Middle East and Africa unit, and will be based in London.
Bensoussan will also work on an interim basis as the global head of derivatives structuring.
UBS also appointed Daryl Chen, who previously worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM.N) and Deutsche Bank, as Asia-Pacific head of global equities structuring. Elaine Chow, who has been with UBS for 16 years, will oversee that unit in Australia. (Reporting by Joe Rauch; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)
