Russia, India sign defence, nuclear deals

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Russia and India signed agreements on Tuesday to work on a design project for a fifth-generation fighter aircraft and expand capacity at the nuclear power plant in Kudankulam.

The two countries agreed to build the third and fourth generating units for the nuclear power plant in India’s southern state of Tamil Nadu, according to a statement.

The agreements were signed during a two-day visit by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to India.
