WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Thursday the “tide is turning” on China, citing international support for U.S. policies, including the step-up of maritime maneuvers by the U.S. and partners in the South China Sea.
Pompeo, testifying at a U.S. Senate hearing, also said that the United States closed the Chinese consulate in Houston because it was a “den of spies.”
