Ukraine's Tymoshenko says offered PM post to Tigipko

(Corrects spelling of Tigipko in headline)

KIEV, Jan 20 (Reuters) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, a presidential candidate in next month’s runoff vote, said on Wednesday she had offered the premiership to a rival who came third in Sunday’s first round of voting.

“I proposed to Sergey Tigipko not only that we unite our programmes, our vision of Ukraine’s development, not only to be his reliable partner in the difficult but rewarding work. I offered him the position of prime minister,” Tymoshenko said.
