LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - ABC Family is hoping to score a “Perfect 10,” handing out a pilot pickup to a drama set in the world of competitive gymnastics.
“10,” which follows a group of teen Olympic hopefuls as they train and prepare for their day in the spotlight, is set go into production in Los Angeles this fall.
“We loved this millennial drama and its compelling characters right way,” said Kate Juergens, executive vp original series programing and development at ABC Family.
The “10” pickup follows recent pilot orders for two other projects: “10 Things I Hate About You,” a comedy based on the Heath Ledger feature film, and “Ruby and the Rockits.” They are also set to shoot this fall.
Meanwhile, ABC Family is set to debut two comedy series — “Roommates” and “Sophie” — early next year.
