FACTBOX: Security developments in Afghanistan, Oct 10

(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan reported at 0830 GMT on Saturday.

EASTERN AFGHANISTAN - A roadside bomb killed two soldiers serving with the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force in eastern Afghanistan on Friday, ISAF said in a statement.

SOUTHERN AFGHANISTAN - A U.S. soldier died of wounds sustained in a roadside bomb attack in southern Afghanistan on Friday, ISAF statement said.

NURISTAN - Afghan and foreign troops killed six insurgents including a local militant commander during an air and ground assault in the eastern Kamdesh district of Nuristan province overnight, provincial governor Jamaluddin Badr said.

KUNDUZ - Afghan troops in northern Kunduz province detained 18 militants in two separate operations overnight, provincial governor Mohammad Omar said.

LOAR - Afghan and International forces detained several militants responsible for making roadside bombs in the Logar province, south of the capital Kabul, ISAF troops said.

KUNDUZ - An Afghan police officer was killed when an explosive device planted in his car went off in the northern city of Kunduz, the local governor said.
