Audrina Patridge stalker gets 2 years prison term

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A schizophrenic man convicted of stalking “The Hills” actress Audrina Patridge was sentenced to two months in prison on Thursday and ordered to stay away from her for 10 years.

Zachary Loring, 25, was arrested in February after knocking at the door of Patridge’s Hollywood Hills home while carrying a knife in his backpack. He also handed her a packet of letters that included a drawing of a woman being strangled.

He later pleaded no contest in Los Angeles Superior Court to a stalking charge and has been diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic.

Patridge, 25, who was also a recent contestant in the TV contest “Dancing with the Stars” and appeared in the horror movie “Sorority Row”, has said she feared for her life.

Despite his prison sentence, Loring could be released in a couple of months after being given credit for time already served in custody, and good behavior, court officials said.

However he was also ordered to stay 500 yards away from Patridge and her residence for the next 10 years.
