Russia says Austria's spying allegations harming ties

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia’s foreign ministry said on Friday that Vienna’s allegations that a retired Austrian colonel had spied for Moscow for decades were harming hitherto positive relations between the two countries.

The ministry said on its website that the allegations were based on suspicions rather than actual evidence and that it had expressed its protest to Austria’s envoy when it summoned him on Friday.
