UK not seeking regulatory alignment to solve Irish border conundrum: minister

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain is not seeking full regulatory alignment with the European Union as a solution to the post-Brexit Northern Irish border, Brexit department minister Robin Walker said on Thursday.

“What we are talking about is alignment in those areas necessary for the functioning of the border, and ensuring there is no hard border. That does not mean full regulatory alignment across all areas,” Walker told parliament.
