Risk to UK public remains low after two people exposed to Novichok: chief medic

LONDON (Reuters) - England’s Chief Medical Officer said on Wednesday the risk to the general public remained low after a man and woman became exposed to the Novichok nerve agent in southern England.

“These two patients are in a critical condition following exposure to the nerve agent Novichok,” Sally Davies told reporters.

“As the country’s chief medical officer, I want to reassure the public that the risk to the general public remains low.”
