“All I can say is there is another formal suspect,” police spokesman Olegario de Sousa told Reuters. Under Portuguese secrecy laws, the names of suspects are not given but Kate McCann’s spokeswoman said early Friday police were preparing to name her as a suspect. A British man had earlier emerged as the first formal suspect in the case.
