Cheryl Cole to support Black Eyed Peas on UK tour

LONDON (Reuters) - British singer Cheryl Cole, best known as a judge on the hit “X Factor” television series, will support U.S. group the Black Eyed Peas on the British leg of their forthcoming THE E.N.D. world tour.

The 26-year-old, who is launching a solo career after success with girl band Girls Aloud, will perform songs from her chart-topping debut album “3 Words,” starting at London’s O2 Arena on May 5. The tour ends in Birmingham on June 1.

Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am. collaborated with Cole on several of the songs on the album.

The Black Eyed Peas, nominated for six Grammys ahead of the awards ceremony at the weekend, kicks off its world tour in Atlanta on February 4.
