Three passengers removed in Denver from United flight

DENVER (Reuters) - Three passengers aboard a United Airlines flight bound from Denver to Orange County, California, were removed from the plane after the crew raised concerns about their behavior, authorities said on Friday.

Flight 593 returned to the gate at Denver International Airport late on Thursday night after the flight crew “requested that authorities escort three passengers off the plane,” before it took off, United Airlines spokesman Charlie Hobart said.

Carrie Harmon, spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration, said in a statement that the three passengers were interviewed and released by law enforcement.

The aircraft was “swept with negative findings,” and the plane departed after a 2-1/2 hour delay, Harmon said, declining to provide more details on the incident.
