Dollar General removing Pokemon Valentine cards

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Dollar General said on Thursday that it is removing Pokemon 10 Valentine Cards and Pops from its shelves after a customer reported finding a metal object in one of the product’s candy lollipops.

The discount retailer said the product, supplied by Sherwood Brands of Maryland, was purchased from a store in Lakeland, Florida. It said no injuries have been reported and, at this time, no additional incidents were reported.

Dollar General was acquired last year by private equity group Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.
