Ecuador's Petroecuador says SOTE crude pipeline has restarted operations

QUITO (Reuters) - Ecuador’s state-run oil company Petroecuador said on Monday its 360,000 barrel-per-day SOTE crude pipeline has restarted operations, after the company finished construction of two variant pipelines.

Petroecuador halted the pipeline last week to prevent potential environmental damage due to soil erosion in the Amazon region. That move prompted Ecuador’s energy ministry to declare force majeure on oil production.
