(Reuters) - Evergreen Solar’s quarterly revenue rose 3 percent on higher shipments, sending the solar maker’s shares up 6 percent.
October-December revenue increased to $89.3 million as it shipped 47 megawatts during the quarter, 9 percent more than last year.
Analysts on average were looking for revenue of $98.6 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Marlborough, Massachusetts-based Evergreen’s shares, which rose to a high of $2.46, were trading up 2 percent at $2.37 on Monday on Nasdaq.
