(The Sports Xchange) - Jerry Jones is staying on the offensive in his crusade against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and the league’s compensation committee.
The Dallas Cowboys owner said in an interview Tuesday with 105.3 The Fan in Dallas that he has no plans to retract his threat of suing the NFL and some owners on the compensation committee over concerns about a Goodell contract extension.
Jones, who accused committee chairman and Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank of misleading owners on “critical facts” about the contract talks, preached patience in the extension process for Goodell, whom he said has served between 60 to 65 percent of his current contract.
C.J. Prosise’s season is over after the Seattle Seahawks placed the running back on injured reserve.
Prosise had been hampered by ankle injuries all season. To fill Prosise’s roster spot, the Seahawks signed back Mike Davis from its practice squad.
The 23-year-old Prosise finished the season with just 23 yards on 11 carries. He missed five straight games before returning in last Thursday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, only to leave with an ankle sprain.
The Washington Redskins will be without running back Rob Kelley and linebacker Will Compton for the remainder of the season.
Kelley (ankle), and Compton (Lisfranc sprain) were both placed on season-ending injured reserve, the team announced.
Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Curtis Samuel will undergo season-ending surgery on his left ankle, the team announced.
Samuel was injured during Monday’s 45-21 victory over the Miami Dolphins when his foot was rolled on by Miami safety Reshad Jones in the third quarter.
Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson took to social media to reveal the latest step in his recovery from a dislocated wrist.
Johnson posted a video on Twitter Monday showing that he had his cast removed on his left arm.
The NFL announced several changes to its Week 12 and Week 13 schedules.
The New Orleans Saints’ game against the host Los Angeles Rams, originally scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET on Nov. 26, has been moved to 4:25 p.m. ET and the telecast has been cross-flexed to CBS.
