LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Indiana Jones has finally popped the question to Ally McBeal.

Movie star Harrison Ford, 66, and his longtime girlfriend, actress Calista Flockhart, 44, became engaged after he proposed marriage to her over the Valentine’s Day weekend, People magazine reported on Saturday.

The magazine quoted sources close to the couple as saying Ford surprised Flockhart with an engagement ring while they were away on a family vacation with their adopted son, Liam.

The celebrity couple have been together for 7 1/2 years, but the magazine said no wedding date has been set.

It would be the third marriage for Ford, whose most famous film roles include the swaggering “Star Wars” space hero Han Solo and the rugged explorer Indiana Jones in “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and its sequels.

Flockhart, best known for starring as a lovelorn lawyer on the hit television series “Ally McBeal,” has never previously been married.
