UK delays business rate revaluation to help COVID-hit firms

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain’s government said on Wednesday it had postponed a revaluation of a property tax paid by businesses to help companies struggling to cope with the coronavirus shutdown.

“We have listened to businesses and their concerns about the timing of the 2021 business rates revaluation and have acted to end that uncertainty by postponing the change,” Communities Secretary Robert Jenrick said.
