Germany to advise against Britain travel over quarantine: spokesman

BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany will continue to advise against travel to Britain even after it lifts travel bans to much of Europe on June 15 because of London’s requirement that new arrivals all enter two weeks of quarantine, a foreign ministry spokesman said.

Earlier on Wednesday, Germany announced it would scrap border controls with all its neighbours from mid-June and aimed to allow travel with much of Europe to resume from the same date.

Britain introduced a 14-day quarantine period for almost everyone entering the country from June 8.
