NEW YORK (Reuters) - Celebrity heiress Paris Hilton has her own line of lingerie, her own perfume, a video game, and a pop album, but now she really is going to the dogs — with her own range of pet wear.
Little Lily, a pet lifestyle brand, on Monday announced the launch of the Paris Hilton Pet Collection, a line of pet apparel and pet accessories for “fashion-forward dogs.”
Lara Alameddine and Daniel Dubiecki, co-creators of California-based Little Lily, said in a statement they will collaborate with Hilton in the design and development of the collection, inspired by Hilton’s “lifestyle and trend-setting fashion sense.”
“As one of the first celebrities to embrace fashion for dogs, Paris is an inspiration to Little Lily,” said Lara Alameddine, co-founder of Little Lily.
Hilton, the 25-year-old heir to the Hilton Hotel fortune, has been photographed on numerous occasions with her dogs clad in their own fashion outfits.
Chihuahua Tinkerbell, the most famous of her dogs, has been featured on the pages of magazines and is well-known for her extravagant outfits.
“Both Paris Hilton and Little Lily believe that pets reflect their owners’ personal style and thus should dress with flair,” said Alameddine.
The collection will include apparel, accessories, bedding, toys, the famed Lilyboots, and will be available in stores early 2007, with prices ranging from $25 to $350.
