LONDON (Reuters) - British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt told China that it needed to honor and respect the agreement the countries had made over Hong Kong, as London and Beijing kept up a war of words over the former British colony.

“Message to Chinese govt: good relations between countries are based on mutual respect and honoring the legally binding agreements between them,” Hunt said on Twitter.

“That is the best way to preserve the great relationship between the UK and China.”
