(Reuters) - Storm Isaias has strengthened into a hurricane near the Bahamas, prompting a hurricane warning for the central and southeastern parts of the islands, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Thursday.
The hurricane is now about 70 miles (110 km) east-southeast of Great Inagua Island, packing maximum sustained winds of 80 miles (130 km) per hour, the Miami-based forecaster said.
