Cam Atkinson and Dylan Larkin each had one goal and two assists for Team USA, while Charlie McAvoy added one goal and one assist as the U.S. squad won its sixth straight game.
Alec Martinez, Anders Lee, Colin White and Neal Pionk each scored a goal in the rout.
Kane has 15 points, tops among all players at the championship, with five goals and 10 assists to his credit.
The United States has yet to lose in the tournament and sits atop Group B with 16 points. Finland, which plays Germany on Sunday, has 12 points (4 wins, 1 loss) for second place in the group.
Kristian Forsberg, Ken Andre Olimb and Mathis Olimb scored for Norway, which remains winless and has just three points in group play.
The United States and Finland square off on Tuesday to end group play. Finland boasts the second- and third-leading points-getters in Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen, who each have five goals, eight assists and 13 points through five games.
The quarterfinals will be held Thursday and the semifinals take place on Saturday. The gold medal and bronze medal games will be played Sunday, May 20.
