U.S., other countries still lacking fiscal plan: IMF

SAO PAULO (Reuters) - The United States and many other heavily indebted countries have yet to put in place a convincing medium-term plan to fix their fiscal problems, the International Monetary Fund’s chief economist Olivier Blanchard said on Friday.

Blanchard was speaking to reporters in Sao Paulo following the release of the IMF’s regular assessment of global economic prospects.
